Jackal/Richard had a nasty shunt at Spa - he's ok, he has broken some ribs but no major injuries.

As you can see from the video (it's on his site, so I'm sure he won't mind it being posted) it was a big shunt and not his fault, could've been worse with the silver Honda hitting him:

and on the cooling down lap too!

He is a very lucky chap and I wish both him and his car a speedy recovery.

Now there's a blast from the past, I haven't been on Blatchat for months!

I can't bear to do it since I've been Caterhamless!

I loaded it off Blatchat and it took about 20 minutes.

Nasty, nasty incident - with two VERY lucky drivers.

Cheers Eric - file downloaded.

Nasty and both lucky to walk away.

Is that grass on the other side of the kerb (is it proper kerb?)?

It was not a cooling down session, the whole day was open pitlane. It's astro-turf, not grass (though I can't comment on the relative grip level, since I avoided it running over it this year)

back at work today fellas

rib pain is reducing daily at quite a dramatic rate. i can now sleep on my back and on both my left and right sides ! TBH, towards the weekend the neck and back pain from sleeping awkwardly was more painful than teh damm ribs !

Jackal - was it you that I passed in my black Elise with Stu on board last night on the M20? I know Stu (in the passenger seat) waved at someone driving it because he knew them!

Sorry to hear about the accident, glad all's good!

It's amazing the interest created from someone else's misfortune...

I suppose you were lucky though, all things considered

Hope things are working out OK for you
