Looking for a Caterham...

Hi All,
Without this sounding too much like an online dating profile....
I'm 6'1" and 18 Stone.....(38/40 inch waist)....
My M4 Comp has become too muted for me and I'm missing the smell of petrol and connection with the road........
Have been in them and driven before. Can't wait to own one again. Aware of the rawness.
Has anyone with a similar build got any tips? SV? Lowered floors?
Thank you,
Tom

Where in the country are you ?
Good to see that you can get comfortable. It’s worth noting that your head in that car is as tall, or close to, the height of the roll bar. You would be much safer with a taller ‘track day’ roll bar and a lowered floor (if not already fitted). Both can be retro fitted to all Caterhams, but you need to budget about £800 if not included with your purchase.
I had my damaged lowered floor replaced at Arch Motors. As they manufacture the floor panel it makes sense to get them to fit it. Huntingdon is a bit of a drive, but you can take the wriggly roads, and Phil will quote you about 2-hours for removal and re-fitting, so its a half-day round-trip. Coffee shop up the road has reasonable wifi if you need to login.

Hi
Just read through this. At 6’4, would the lowered floor work ?
I want to share with my son, he’s the tall one - I’m 5’10, so would the lower floor work for both of us ?

I think Millwood are probably your closest, have a look and see if they have one you could try for size.
