Shock absorbers and damping quality..... I have a feeling my Bilsteins arent as good as they were when new. The car has always had a bit of a bang and crash ride quality. I had a demo in a new 420r recently, and that was so much better in terms of ride. ...
So, is it time to replace/service my Bilsteins, or is it time to invest in something else ?
Nitrons etc ?
Car is primarily road use with odd track days here and there.
Im well aware that Simon is the man to speak to, but Im after impressions from folks that have invested in something new.

A lot depends on your choice of direction, but Bilsteins are very easily servicable so that's where I'd start. If you still don't like the result, they will be much more sellable having been serviced.

Having the Billies refurbed is an option….

How does that work in terms of a current flat floor setup?

Will I need to get done again ?

You can start by counting the threads. Take the dampers off and count the threads to where the platforms are. Then you can put them back together close to where they were.

If the flat floor setup is important to you more than that you can get it redone at some point but for road driving it's not that critical in my view and the counting method will get you back close to where it was before.

Also in my view, unless you need to maximise grip for a race situation, the front geo is the most important to be well set up. Toe, camber, caster and bump steer. Ride height and rake is important, but counting threads will get you back there
