Hi All,

I have purchased a new factory built Caterham, it now needs registering before I can get my grubby fingers on it.

I have no experience of getting a Caterham registered, but it appears to require a carrier pigeon approach at the DVLA (presumably due to its kit car status) , the supplying dealer has said it can take 2 to 3 weeks, I will know when it has been registered to me when the brown envelope drops through the letterbox…..

Does anyone have any experience of the likely wait time, it’s difficult to concentrate on much else!

I registered an imported Caterham last year. Took a bit longer as we had the NOVA paperwork to do as well but my brown envelope with V5 in it arrived between Xmas and New Year, within the 6 week timeframe they give themselves to do this sort of thing.

So no reason to think that yours won't also arrive within the timeframe you mention.

I registered my newly kit built Caterham in January. Took10 days for the reg to come through by post. However, you have to pay by Cheque, this archaic organisation cannot accept cards or bank transfers for new registrations - go figure
