I don't think it's worth logging on here anymore, there's bugger all happening, apart from a few Guys thinking of buying a Caterham.
I guess everyone is over on social media. tumbleweed

Blatchat for UK

USA7s for US

Much more action than around here. You can only have so many fora for a car so rare...

I think the Caterham & Lotus 7 Owners Group on Facebook is where all the action happens these days.

I know everyone goes on about how Facebook is ‘toxic’, but I think the key is to block anyone who isn’t interested in Caterhams. hehe

As far as I’m concerned, there’s nothing on Facebook apart from Caterhams, classic racing cars & German shepherd dogs… smile

I was Googling ‘Caterham rear anti roll bar settings’ recently & came across a (very interesting) Blatchat thread from 2001 that made me realise how vibrant Blatchat was back then, in comparison to how it is now. Someone asked the question & the thread got to eight pages within a day or two!

By comparison, it’s all dust & tumbleweeds these days. (In all honesty, I still check in fairly frequently though…) There’s interesting information & debate out there if you look for it.

But blatchat was a pretty argumentative place back then, it's nice and there's plenty of help these days

Yes, I’d agree with that! It could be pretty volatile back then, with a lot more ‘laddish’ behaviour.

If you think this place has died Mickrick, you should look at the Morgan forums. I really do not think they could ever be resucitated. Maybe it's because the average age of a typical Morgan owner is 70 (me included, which is why after 40 years of Seven ownership, I now own a Morgan), and this age group are not much into car forums?

Talking of the old BC, I seem to recall there was a certain helicopter pilot, who was pretty active and one of his obsessions was with ginger haired people? Goodness know what he would have said of the current ex-royal who is keen to annoy people?

IMO in reality these days there are so many forums/groups/information sources /YouTube channels etc. often covering the same material time and time again, there’s a limit on how motivated one is willing to engage, unless you’re the sort of person who likes to comment on everything/everywhere just to see your “name in lights” ;-)
