After a slalom/powerslide day followed by my first track day (Brands Indy) this week, ostensibly to accompany my step-dad (who's fallen in love with the marque after discovering a Beaulieu) I've only gone and bought one this evening... Selling the Fireblade to do it too, which I would have said was unthinkable 3 weeks ago.

Having been scared witless by the instructor hotlaps at the end of my day pootling round Brands learning the lines (in 5th all the way round), I'd thought I'd learned that large engines just weren't necessary, but I seem to have purchased a 1700 Supersprint. Oops.

Wish me luck, and I'm sure I'll be frequenting the forum to make use of some of the experience here.

Greets to all,

Tol

That's not a large engine!...but not a bad car to learn how to drive a Caterham! You cannot fail to enjoy the experience and welcome to Caterham ownership

Welcome!

Have a look at blatchat (www.blatchat.com) and maybe join the L7 club?

My first 7 was a lovely supersprint 1700 x flow. Super car, put on some 032r's and you will have loads of fun.

Cool summer evenings , ahhhhhh magic.

I kept mine for a few years then went to a SLR for 3 yrs.
