Diff oil: 2008 Duratec?

Hi folks, anyone know what diff oil to top up with ? I have a minor weep on the diff nose and wanted to just ensure I checked / topped up before a track day.
Car is a 2008 R400 Duratec …. I don’t know what diff or even how to check !
I believe topping up the diff is a pain….any advice ? I have an oil can with a long flexible nose.

Same car as mine and assuming it has an LSD as they require a different oil. I used the one from R&R transmission found here.
https://www.rrtransmissions.com/rrtoils/ls90-gl5 although any 90 grade Limited slip diff oil will work. Fuchs/Silkolene also make a good one.
You will need the other option if you just have an open diff.
Needs to be filled from the point on the rear of the diff casing about 1/3 from the top (looks like any other drain bolt) 10 or 12mm hex from memory. Best way I’ve found is to remove the boot floor and then use a piece of clear hose with a funnel at the top. Insert clear hose and pour oil in until it seeps out of filler point. Top tip heat the oil up in a bucket of warm water for ten minutes beforehand (obviously leave the oil on the sealed container when doing this) as it pours much easier when less viscous. If it hasn’t been changed in a while and your are going to all this bother I would replace at this point. Removal is via vaccum pump from same hole. Some useful information on how to identify your diff type here. Don’t forget if you have an LSD you’ll need to have the oil with the correct additive.
I’ve also filed my diff from underneath with a Laser oil bottle with mini pump (so no need to take out the boot floor) and on balance taking out the boot floor is easier and less messy!
