Hi all, removed nose cone to check oil on my dry sump Ford engine and finding it absolutely impossible to refit ! Wondering if anyone else had grief with this ? Thanks Paul

It can be fiddly. The Dzus fastners on the underside can be really awkward to get at.

Do you have one of those short handled, stubby screwdrivers? They work

A 2p coin is also worth a try.

Thanks Eric but there seems no way to fasten it onto that S shape inside the bracket, just won't stay on , top ones where I can see into there. Bottom ones working blind and no luck there either frown Paul

Assuming that the nose cone with the fastener is close enough to the appropriate mounting bracket….. if you start with the top ones look for the cutout at the back of the fastenerr and align over the wire on the chassis bracket. If aligned properly you should then be able to push the fastener virtually flat against the nose cone . Then by turning the fastener using a coin or stubby screwdriver through a quarter of a turn clockwise the fastener will lock.. if you can’t get the fastener any where near the bracket wire then the nose cone/chassis bracket alignment isn’t correct.
