Caterham Seven Sprint
Discussion
Evening All,
Some advice please.
I have one of these (No 31 of 60) and would like to sell.
It’s obviously a niche car in a relative niche brand.
Where would you suggest I can advertise privately to get best exposure and achieve best price fairly quickly ?
Couple on here at £27k and would accept less though do not really wish to put into a dealer who clearly will offer a lot less.
Thanks

Pistonheads is probably the place to sell a niche car, Caterham or otherwise, so you already in the best location . After that, I would suggest listing on BlatChat - the Caterham owners Club site - and then Classic & Sports car etc.
Demand for modern Caterhams is still quite high in Europe, so if your model has an EU compliance certificate/ engine you could explore that market too - many of the UK dealers will be doing so anyway.
Collecting Cars.com would also be worth a look if you don’t mind the auction format.

I see that you’re not keen on going to a dealer but it may be worth speaking to Sevens and Classics https://sevensandclassics.com/ or similar Caterham
specialist.
When I was looking to sell mine, they sold it on commission for me, got £1500 more than I was anticipating through a private sale.
Gives the buyer some peace of mind as Sevens and Classics prep, service and sell it with a warranty.
For me it was no hassle with prospective purchasers and a better price than I could achieve as a private seller, wasn’t a car as unique as yours, just a 140 Roadsport.
Worth a phone call, even if it confirms your initial reservations.

Seven and Classics or Collecting Cars ( auction )
I popped into my local Lotus Dealer and they had one for sale, had it up for sale at £26,995, virtually brand new. 232 miles. They've had it for sale since Spring and there's been very little interest. They advertise the car on PH and Autotrader and I can't work out why it's never sold.
Guess most people want a 4 cylinder car.
