may not be legal, but I'll take the risk anyway.

has anybody fitted additional lighting, such as cycle LEDs on an extension bar, to help people see the low car?

I fitted a high level brake light kit some time ago onto the roll bar. The electrical connectors which attach to the harness, that are just plug in, came from Caterham, which made is so easy to fit. I can’t remember where the high level brake light came from, but believe that Caterham now do the complete kit. You could also try Redline.

Same here, I got the slimline 48 LED brake light from Car Builder and it works a treat. I used black silicone to attach it and it’s been fine for the last few years, including going through the MOT. I used material tape to route the cable down the roll bar and in to the boot to connect it to the sub loom to make sure it looks nice and neat.

Coupled with my LED brake lights from justaddlightness, it leaves no one in any doubt I’m braking biggrin

very useful, thanks.
rear and front LEDs with DRLs would do the job I think. justaddlightness, great site.

I was also thinking of a cycle lamp on an extension bar to increase visibility even more. hedges, in traffic, entering roundabouts with metre high enclosures! I'm used to small cars, but venturing in to Caterham ownership at my age is also a little scary! the feeling of vulnerability is greater now. I'm also getting a trailer, as I really don't see it getting that much road use.

I've added a red cycle light to my roll cage. Might get around to installing a properly wired up light at some point but it's not a bad interim measure.
