Caterham setup Shropshire

Have a Superlight R - it's always been very twitchy on roads if trying to go straight. Have had it set up once more recently which has firmed up the feel and it's easier to keep in the straight line, but the steering is now very heavy and the tyres are scrubbing fast.

Is there either (or both!) a good geo setup for road use that I can pass to any decent alignment centre, or a recommendation for a good setup place nearish Telford/Whitchurch in Shropshire. Happy to travel a bit. Thanks!

I don't think they do set ups, but Kiwi Pete at Raceline in Netley should be able to recommend someone local.

I've had mine done at Northampton and been quite happy with the results, someone on here went to Centre Gravity and was happy, and a friend of mine had his 996 transformed by them.

Graham looks after my race 7, as well as other people’s various race cars but has also set up several other 7s for road use.

A very good, knowledgeable, diligent, old school guy who will do a good job for you and not cost the earth.

It depends how far you want to go but I use ‘TunedUK’ in Wrexham. He's a BTCC mechanic and he uses proper Carlos fandango laser alignment kit. I’ve done well with his set upS and won classes and records in sprints/ hill climbs. He can be found on face ache and instapic.
