LA resources and specialists
Discussion
The 1995 live axle 7 that I have been asking about tyres is new to me. I've a history of 7s starting with a similar era 2.0VXI, then 3 K-series cars an SLR, R500 and 1600 exec superlight. I know a fair amount, but there's a lot to learn with a 1600 crossflow, live axle rear and trunion front suspension. It's very low mileage and largely original (you can still clearly see the honing marks in the bores). It's actually in very good condition for its age, but overall needs some cleaning and fettling - and new tyres! It runs ok, but the (new) plugs are blacker than the ace of spades. I expect the carbs need some work - maybe just a rolling road tune with someone who knows crossflows and webers.
I'm looking for recommendations for on-line resources, parts suppliers and local specialists (I'm in Epsom). For my sins, I have just rejoined L7 club, but am unable to post there yet. It looks like James Whiting is still going. Can that be so? He serviced my very first 7 back in the mid/late 90s!
Anyway, all thoughts and recommendations welcome.
Cheers

Glad to hear you’re back in the Club.
Redline Components (Chris Mintoft) is the leading parts supplier these days. It’s email and phone orders - so give Chris a call and chat through what you need and your Sevens history. He’s a top bloke!
His advert is on the L7C web page or in LowFlying.

I would be interested in using Tech7 as I’m local to them but they seem to be elusive, no address available just telephone.
I won’t give the address in case Andy prefers it not to be public, but it’s very easy to access from the town centre. Give him a call, you certainly won’t regret it.

I ended up not using his services (I replaced the dampers myself) but I took his advice and am grateful for having received it.
