I’m considering an R400 (riviera blue Sv), for sale at GPSevens. I don’t have the know how to attach the ad - hopeless!
If anyone has a chance to take a look & feedback with any comments, views, anyone know of the car, would be much appreciated.
Cheers

Thanks for posting the advert, though the one I’m considering is the SV, blue with orange stripe. Cheers

Looks pretty good, plus having the 6 speed is a bonus as they're desirable and becoming increasingly rare these days (discontinued in 2018 or so).

15"s do look better on the SV chassis, however won't ride/handle as well as 13"s.

Only real question for me from the advert would be the Jenveys; these are not the official Caterham RBTB upgrade, so clearly have been done outside of factory. This could well be a better option, especially if it's been properly mapped, but this sort of detail would need further enquiry.

One of my neighbours has a Riviera blue caterham and it looks stunning.

Regarding the Jenveys, I was watching the sports prototype cup at Silverstone a couple of weeks back - should have been competing but that's another story. The Jenvey-Gunn was in action with a 2.0 Duratec and it was blindingly quick. It kept pace with the LMP3 Norma.

So as you say if done properly would be very good.

Thanks ghibbett & Bert. Will check out the Jenvey side of things. I’ve seen the car, but not driven it yet. Cheers

Not seen the car, but was interested in it when it was for sale privately (for a about a year!) up in Scotland. As mentioned, the Jenveys are the only deviation, but there are pros and cons either way. Mine has the Jenveys and runs really smoothly. My initial concern was not being able to buy the Caterham (RBTB) air box for track day drive by noise. I believe Premier Power may do an air box for them though. Mine has had a custom airbox made for it which fits inside the SV bonnet. It was originally for sale with 13" silver Apollo wheels and the 15's were available also.

There appears to be backing plate and airbox solutions on the Jenvey website including the Reverie one, so Duratec/Caterham will be catered for I expect. Although not going to be cheap.
