Final road test in a 1700 Super Sprint, 5 speed.

Car started to get tough to get in gear, clutch pedal felt good and normal. 200 yards up the road and it wouldn't go in gear without rev matching. Pulled over, bonnet off clutch reserve still full, pedal felt good. Took top off clutch master cylinder, pumped pedal and all the contents of the reservoir dumped all its contents on the road.

Started in in gear and drove back to the workshop. New master cylinder and still no clutch. Got underneath look inside the bell housing and I can see the pressure plate releasing the pressure off the flywheel, but the car will not go in gear when running. Initially my thoughts were this is a hydraulic problem, then maybe the clutch is stuck on the flywheel, now I thinking that the output shaft has welded itself to the spigot bearing.
But how are the 2 things related.

Any thoughts would be most appreciated.

Spigot bearing seized sounds a good call but can’t connect to fluid spill issue....
