I've got 1700 Xflow built by Roger King to "155bhp" spec (244 cam, Accralites) with twin 45 Del'ortos which are causing the engine to stumble/miss-fire under increasing load/acceleration. In steady state it runs clean up to 7500rpm. I think the problem is that the car hasn't been run for over a year. It used to be fine.
I have checked the acceleration pumps and they seem OK, giving a good squirt on all 4 chokes.

Anyone have suggestions or experience on what else could be the cause of the problem?

Thanks...

In my experience if it hadn’t been run for over a year I’d be stripping the carbs and giving them a service and thorough clean as a starting point bearing in mind it ran ok before.
When mine was off the road for six months they’d completely dried up and left a nasty sticky residue.
