The common equivalent for the Caterham parts listed in my owners manual? In particular I need to get some spare bulbs for my trip to Le Mans next week. The owners handbook helpfully lists the Caterham part numbers but strangely Halfords dont sell them under these numbers!

Also what is the generally accepted best alternative assuming I can't get hold of Caterham Motorsport oil or Comma Coldstream coolant?

And finally does anyone know the best place to take off a 12 volt feed for a cigarette lighter plug?

All suggestions gratefully received.

Just fitted a cigarette lighter socket to power 12v items (phone charger, air mattress pump...) and the general consensus is to wire it directly to the battery with a suitable in-line fuse.

Main benefit is using the socket for a battery conditioner to save unclipping the bonnet for the flying lead. Obviously if you want to charge your battery, you can't have it going through an ignition fed live unless the ignition is on.

For the bulbs, they are pretty much standard things that fit any car. Rears will be dual filament for the brake/tail and a separate single filament for the indicator. Main headlight bulb will depend on your car but just pop the light unit out and take the bulb in. Halfords should be able to supply all the bulbs off the shelf unless you have got the Xenon light upgrades in which case it might be back to Caterham parts if they Halfords cannot supply. CC is open Saturday morning I think.

Many thanks, I will do as you suggest. The battery conditioner sounds like an excellent idea, presumably it will allow the battery condition to be maintained over the winter when its not in daily(or indeed weekly/monthly!) use.

The bulbs are standard H4.
