Perhaps Feck will be along in a minute to enlighten us?

This is a car I looked at buying. It was an Emerald remap. Apparently one of the best "standard" SLR engines with an Emerald - probably fluky cam timing.

Yep, when you see how quick this car is, how sensible is it getting a CSR? Will talk to the guys down at Caterham. All suggestions welcome.

The CSR is quite different - heavier, wider and probably more grippy. As for speed - it's all a matter of degree, and you probaby always eventually end up wanting more! If you really enjoyed the SLR and think you would for the next few years, then get one of those. It also depends on whether you expect more road or track use.

Then you can upgrade to a proper engine later

All suggestions welcome on what additions/changes I should specify when ordering (whichever model I eventually decide on). My intention is road use with as many track days as I can cram in......many thanks
