How to wire new starter?
Discussion
Hello all !
the starter on my 1.8 VVC broke down, so I ordered a new one from Chris of Redline.
While trying to mount it, I first was surprised, that it totally looks different then the old one, but it seems to fit. So this is fine.
But now to the problem: the new starter has 4 pins / screws where I could attach wires, whereas the old one has only three. So I need help where to attach which wire.
Asked Chris for help, but got no answer so far. And also google is no help as the starter has only written "INNOVO" on it, but that's it.
So maybe someone here could help ?
Also made a picture of the pins:

Thanks a lot in advance !

A bit of a guess...
4 takes the big fat current to the starter from the solenoid you don't need to connect to this.
2 is the big fat feed from the battery
1 is the feed from the starter switch to activate the solenoid
Dunno what 3 is, wondering if it goes to 12v when the solenoid is activated for some reason (that you don't need).
