CSR260 - values and experience for previous S3 owner
Discussion
Have owned a few k series caterhams before, along with Lotus 2-11, Atom and XBOW. However now a little older and looking for something slightly less hard core, with a few features comforts.
The CSR260 with curved dash has always intrigued me. Are they a sensible choice based on above for fast road use ?
Secondly prices. Have been tracking prices for the last 9 months, and have seen some of the current cars been up for sale for 6 months plus, which to me states opportunistic pricing. What’s a realistic price to pay privately ?
Lastly if there are any local owners to Evesham, Worc would love to visit, see your car and hear your views on the car

I had a flat carbon dash one.
I personally didn't like the swoopy dash version and hated the stalks on the steering column as kept catching them. I also found the swoopy dash made the foot wells even hotter.
They are great cars but personally I found a few negatives with mine.
Lack of ground clearance under the sump even though I ran mine quite high.
No spare tyre and quite difficult to find the rears when touring abroad.
With six speed gearbox I found top gear very low which made any motorway journeys a chore.
Quite tricky to get the oil level right with the bell-housing tank. I used to top mine up until it spat into the catch tank.
I eventually sold mine as I wanted a more track focussed car so YMMV.
I did sell it for more than I paid for it after seven years of ownership though.
