Hi to all who can help!

Just a quick one, does the Suzuki 660cc engine have a timing belt or a chain and does anyone know what the interval is?

I'm really struggling to find information about the engine code etc and finding parts - I don't have the engine to hand to look either!

Thanks

Martin

Hi

I believe it's a chain. The owner's manual can be downloaded from the Caterham website if you register - http://uk.caterhamcars.com/user/register . There's not a huge amount in it, but it might be useful.

The engine code is K6A and was used in the Japanese domestic market Suzuki Jimny. I am surprise the 160 guys haven't arranged to bring a few engines over, as rainy day spares.

This maybe of interest, cut and paste it into your browser, its a maintenance manual for the K6A engine.

Still got your car? I’ve just purchased a 160. Keen to link with other owners

I've actually bought a Suzuki Alto Works which has a R06A engine.

So unfortunately no I don't have a 160. smile
