We are Le Mans virgins and are going down on the Friday morning. Anyone have any tried and tested routes from Boulogne area (we are doing Speedferries)that they can recommend? Anyone else going that way for some company?

Sarah, be sure to check out www.blatchat.com - lots of experienced Le Mans veterans on there. Me? I always go Portsmouth - Le Havre - only 100 miles (IIRC) on the other side and the N138 can be avoided all the way.

Sarah, I've been down to Le Mans more times than I'd like to remember and never found a duff route. For some serious blatting try to stay off the N138 and enjoy the drive.

Incidentally I see the club trip is over 100 cars again this year so Caterham will be well represented.
