Carburettor problems

I'm having a few problems with my car. 1986 ford crossflow. One of the carbs was spluttering bad as soon as I gave it a bit of peddle. I've pulled it apart and cleaned it. It no longer splutters but seems a littl low on power in second and third gear. I'm guessing this is now down to tuning. Any points tips guidance would be helpful

don't alter any settings just check all gaskets/ diaphragms and clean with carb cleaner
