I first thought about getting a Caterham about 25 years ago. So long back I am not sure now when I visited Caterham Cars. Over the years I came close a few times but always ended up buying something else instead! Well, I have finally pulled the trigger (about time too some might say). Have bought this green beastie. Can't wait for it to be delivered and for some decent weather to enjoy it (wasn't ideal conditions for a test drive - although wasn't much better for the journey on the bike down to Kent to view it!)

Must say I do love a 7 in that type of green. My second favourite colour.

Enjoy the car!

Wonderful. One of the great cars that really deserve the term "driver's car"...and colour looks great too.

^Took me 28 years; now , 19years later, I am on my second and have done 80 odd k miles , nearly very one of which was an event in one way or the other . Mine is asleep and waking up tomorrow for its Mot- and that is why my sodding back has gone ....

Ditto, I fell in love at the motorshow in 90 or 91... bunked off school for the day to go :-)
Took till this year to be in a place to get one. Had it two weeks and still can't quite believe what is in the garage is mine :-)

Nice car.
Similar for me
I first looked at getting one in 1988 but decided against it.
Hot hatches, big bikes then a mortgage and kids meant that it was only 2014 before I eventually got mine.
Wish I'd done it all those years ago.
Enjoy.

25y = amateur

I decided I needed a Caterham in my life 36y ago

My initial excuses involved being too young to drive, then too skint to buy one, then living out of a suitcase, then not being able to insure one without a garage, then being skint again and now I am seeing the light at he end of the tunnel and its looking achievable in the near/mid future

Naturally I will build mine smile

Good luck, and enjoy it

Looks great. What spec is it ? Looks like R888 Toyos ? One piece of advice - get some earplugs, I have pretty bad tinnitus as a result of driving mine, the buffeting wrecks yours ears.

+1. Even worse for those with Ford engines. Buffeting AND the exhaust blaring away!

It is a good colour....is that in fact Kawa green? Or a Caterham lookalike?

Are your headlamps 6"? They look smaller than the ones on my car.

My stripes are a bit wider than the usual ones....
