Does anyone know how this attaches?

I'd rather not drill the nose cone.

Currently using a duct taped cardboard effort which I stick to the number plate and then peel off.

I'd rather have a better solution.

I was thinking about making an unobtrusive bracket which is a fixture to the grill mesh and an ali strut fixed with a butterfly nut.

Anyone done anything similar?

That timing strut just fits to the grill, no drilling required. It can even be cable tied in place easily enough.

It just bolts to the grille. The smaller bracket goes behind the grille and then you put 2 bolts through to clamp the strut to it. But as above, most of us just zip tie them on.
