Either way, i'm sure there were cars not built by the factory. I don't think mine was.

Virtually all of the early CSRs were factory built as there was no build manual for the IRs chassis. If you pleaded with CC they would let you build one, but only if you had built a car before.

There is now a build manual, but suspect that the majority are still factory built.
