As above really. Want to buy a light, low profile jack just for lifting a corner to change a wheel etc.

Any ideas?

Does it really need to be lightweight? The aluminium ones look pretty but they're a bit flaky in my experience.

I guess it's not essential, especially if it's at the expense of quality.

I use one of these, it's light and strong and good quality.

I'm guessing ebay would be a good place to start

I bought a Liftmaster Low Profile 2 from Amazon a little while back as my normal jack wasn't low enough to get under the nose cone since switching to 13" wheels all round.

It seems fine, it's bloody heavy mind. But then it stays in the garage so it's not really a problem. Cheap too (which shows in the paint job to be honest!).

I've heard good things about SGS:

If I bought another jack, I'd probably give them a shot.

I've used SGS for a number of things and they are very good. I already have two Halfords trolley jacks (same model) but they're too high to go under. I have 13" wheels too.

SGS do have a light low jack, which is about 125mm at it highest near to the pump. My car is being delivered back from Caterham, after it's long awaited IVA, this afternoon, so I guess I'll take some measurements and go to SGS if theirs fits.

I've got one of these and it's excellent. Quite heavy but then it's quite big as well. It's got quite a high lift to it as well and gets there with minimal pumps of the handle.

For those saying that the car is too low for their current jack two Yellow Pages may be a cheaper option than a new jack. Place a Yellow Pages in front of each front wheel, inch car forward onto Yellow Pages, car is now high enough to get the jack under. Worked on my TVR's and Caterham.

That's what I've been doing, with wooden blocks. I'm thinking of track days when it would be quicker with a low jack but, to be honest none of what I've seen here and elsewhere look any better than what I've already got two of!

You will pay a fortune for a jack low enough, I have a set of 2 inch high ramps in may garage and a 3 tone trolley. For track days I use a cheap scissors jack to get height then a 2 ton trolley jack.
