Removing nosecone

when you say nosecone. Do you mean the fibreglass bit at the front that is held on with 4 dzus fasteners (or 2 depending on age)?
As in you take off the bonnet, undo the fasteners and take it off.
No, you must mean something more complex.

Thats the one, just. Wasn't sure how it unclipped dont want to damage itAs in you take off the bonnet, undo the fasteners and take it off.

They will need about a 1/4 turn anti-clockwise to undo them. If the nosecone hasn't been off for a a while they may be a bit stiff, particularly the ones underneath. Just apply more force if this is the case. They may release with a loud click., but normally need no more force than the bonnet catches.
the nosecone will then just lift off.

I think you can replace the belt without disconnecting the hoses to the anti-cav tank. Undo the top (breather) hose, loosen the jubilee clips holding the tank so you can slide it off the mounts, then thread the new fan belt over the tank and hoses. Re assemble.
Nice one cheers, that looks doable Toaster said:

I wouldn't know where to start with building a house, and doubt if I could ever lay a bricks in a strait line, Sorry to hear you have had issues with the car they are normally quite reliable Oh , the old 'of course I work on my own car thread; oh you don't ? ' thread . Caterhams are for driving and if you like doing your own stuff that's just fine - for many it is the raison d'etre of ownership . I don't- all DIY bores me rigid and I am hopeless at it but somehow I have managed to do nearly 20 years of Seven owning without mishap. I can do my own nosecone but am not sure this makes me a better human being ...
