Garage/workshop wanted to rent for catreham build in Bushey.
Discussion
Hello. I am planing a caterham 7 build and I need a place to build the car.
I live in Bushey near Bushey arches, hopefully the right place will be local.
I am looking for a garage, workshop, lockup or private land that I could have a temporary mobile workshop put on.
Rent and length of time needed can be confirmed on finding the right place.
Any surgestions or advice will be gratefully recived.
Regards
Jamie.

Hi Jamie, I'm a recent caterham owner and happen to live round the corner from you in north Bushey. I have a similar problem in that I have a 3 foot gate between the road and my garage so it's bikes only in there. I ended up buying 2nd hand but would rather have built myself. A friend of mine rents a garage through hertsmere council not far from Bushey arches, I can find out the details of it helps.

Hello, thank you for your reply.
local authority garages are on my list of places to contact.
I want to try the private route first as the size and security may be better.
What caterham did you get?

I rent a garage from my local council to store our Caterham - keep in mind that the terms of the lease may prohibit you from 'working' on a car beyond very basic maintenance. My lease even goes as far as to say I can't store anything in it beyond my car & the garage also doesn't have a power hook up. It may vary from council to council but something to consider when investigating your options.local authority garages are on my list of places to contact.

I picked up a metric chassis Roadsport B car with Tillets, lowered floors and a standard K series engine. It's not my perfect car yet but has the potential to be and was the right car for the money. I've done a couple of minor things on it and have to say its the easiest car I've ever worked on - building one would be a lot of fun I'm sure. Have you decided what you're going for yet?local authority garages are on my list of places to contact.

Hi,
It's very early days at the moment. I would like to build the supersport 140 with wide track suspension, I have spoken to caterham and they still offer the component route to build. this way I can spread the cost.
I am a big fan of the k series engine especially in caterham's, I have concerns about the ground clearance on the sigma engine cars.
If I get no joy with a garage to build in I may buy a ready built car and hopefully get to build one later.

Thank you for replying but I am looking for a garage to store my caterham in long term now, within walking distance from Bushey arches.
Many thanks
Jamie.
Many thanks
Jamie.

I am in PINNER and have a double garage ( and a 620 R )
I might be willing / able to lend you some space subject to time ? Would need to leave a soft top on the drive so would need to understand exactly how long .
Have built a couple of Caterhams in the past .

Sorry for remembering the color incorrectly!
I had noticed it hadn't been on the drive for a while, thought you might of had it locked up the winter.
Do you keep it out all winter?
I'm looking into Caterhams at the moment as i think im going to get one for a summer toy, but the only thing that is worrying me is i don't have any winter storage. Although i could store it in my warehouse at work but that wouldn't be very practical for people to work around ha.
