Just hought I'd see how many of you PH'ers are going to be at the Caterham Festival over the weekend? I'll be there both Saturday and Sunday in my R400 (spectating)! my reg number is GD02 WZH if you want to say hello!

There I was minding my own business, waiting for my Seven convoy to catch me up when this blue R400 - reg L100NEY comes flying past me on the M25. Well I couldn't let him get away with that and I followed him at the legal limit all the way to Brands Hatch.

But I'm confused - it can't be the L100NEY who posted on this thread as his R400 has a Gillingham registration number - so who is the other L100NEY???

That was me I'm afraid Ruby, I'm guessing that it was you in the yellow one with the black stripe? If I'd have known that you were giving chase then I would've put my foot down (just kidding)!

So why the change in the number plate then? Actually it just proves the point that your 200 bhp is quicker than my 198 bhp and that power to weight is king (no twisties as such, so not down to driver skill, natch)

Good fun though - and that Reliant Robin didn't catch us until the Brands entrance either!

I've had L100NYY on retention for quite a while and thought it was about time it went back on the 'toy' but I only changeed it over on friday. There certainly wasn't much in it between our two cars, but I think that my passenger was heavier than yours!!!

He may have been - but then I don't actually own the car I was driving - discretion therefore being the better part of valour!

As I said - I don't own the car....consequently I ensured that I didn't take it near the red line or overtaxed the tyres, gearbox or braking system. In fact I treated it with the same kid gloves that I reserved for my SLR

It was a thouroughly good blast down to Brands over the weekend as I went down there for both days, however my headlight fell off on Saturday (!) which was a bit odd, it seems as though the spot welds broke and the unit dropped down. It's amazing what a reel of gaffer tape can do - many thanks to all those who lent a hand on Saturday afternoon.

Hi Guys,

I was there on Saturday, had a good day out if a little cold. It was a very impressive turnout and we had a good day. I was in the blue 200sx with the noisy exhaust in case anyone spotted me.

I have some pics which I'll post later.

Very accurate 'Elms'it's almost as if you know him! I was going to make him get out and walk but did think that perhaps the extra weight would give me more grip!
