Is there a single Caterham BRG?

Officially, there never was a standard BRG.

i found a lotus brg today in color code book which looks like the right sort of colour. just wondered if the caterham racing colors were different, or wether its just the stripes that make the difference.

thanks

But they sell GRP wings and nose cones in BRG so surely a standardised colour?

This link is not working anymore. Looking for the same information, anyone with the .pdf handy?

Each car company devises its own version of BRG. There never really was a standard BRG shade.

I bet if you look back at Caterhams that claim to be BRG, you will see that the shades vary quite a bit. All you could get from them now would be the shade of green they are currently referring to as BRG.

Agree Eric. BRG is not always the same. The Caterham F1 guide gave some good guidlines about the colour scheme they use in F1, but I just was not fast enough saving the .pdf file above.

I have a Lotus 61 in this colour

After a crash this year my Caterham look like this

and need a complete rebuild, so I thought I'd use the Caterham colour scheme. Thanks.

That Lotus looks fanatstic.

I have a green 1996 Caterham but I don't know if it's a shade they ever referred to as BRG.

Do mean the current scheme below or the old Lotus scheme? I'd ring Caterham. I've found them very helpful.

Thanks for the comments on the Lotus 61.
I am looking for the new colour code like the Caterham F1 colour code included in previouse .pdf file . Just was not fast enough to save the file and now it seams to be moved/deleted.

I am lucky enough to own an R500 in the limited edition F1 colour scheme.

I do have the Link to the green paint type and code somewhere I just need to find it.

Try calling Caterham, but they might be reluctant, I do know they have become a little tired of people, copying the limited edition colour scheme, and applying it to standard cars, when the limited edition paint scheme costs £3000 on a new car.

I called asking CC last year for the code for the white and the guy I spoke to didnt know or wouldnt tell me one or the two.

and do they seriously charge £3000 to paint a Caterham green and yellow yikes cant for the life of me see how they justify that , from what ive seen the green is nothing special just an ordinary met green like you would find on an old Rover 75 ? in regards to cost, the pearl white or the lambo/focus Orange pearl if anything should be more expensive as its more time consuming to apply as requires a ground coat are they a more expensive option compared to a flat red or white?

Jeff,

They do indeed, of course it's not just the paint, but not much else.

You get the limited edition logos ( I chose not to have them fitted, they are still in the owners pack), the limited edition pack, the f1 drivers signed plaque, the ltd edition certificate, the signed Caterham f1 book and cd/DVD and of course the VIP f1 factory tour.

Of course I was also lucky enough to have my car visit the Jerez F1 with F1 team, who also drove it, and signed the back of my car too.

It even featured in the Caterham DNA video and pictures with Heikki driving it too.

So I suppose you could say ingot maximum value out of my package!

I Wouldn't waste your time, tried to find out the Pearlecent white back in Aug, they just fobbed me off (couldn;t be arsed) and put me onto TSK, who were even more difficult to get hold of......gave up and went elsewhere in the end

Went direct to the source, Caterham F1 Brand Manager, and had a nice email reply, the brand guide in .pdf format and a scalable logo.

Thats brand building!!!

Caterham colour codes Green: ICI GN 29 (British Racing Green) Glasurit 21-21-AST-604 Yellow: ICI PO 30 99 72 (Solar Yellow) Glasurit VWL 10/00M.

I got this information quite a few years ago for the standard Caterham Colours. Please check it’s what you want before ordering.
