duratec carbon coil cover fitting???
Discussion
does anyone have a picture of the Caterham supplied carbon/grp coil cover fitted for the duratec motor?
it is this one here http://www.caterhamparts.co.uk/product.php?id_prod...
quickly tried to fit mine tonight and on first glance doesnt seem to fit and if it did as cam sensor will stop it going down and there isnt any bolt holes to fasten it too ???
thanks in advance ?

Don't know if this is any good! The cover uses the coil pack bolts that have a nut at the top.
I then used fibre washers on either side to get the height right. I also trimmed the cut-outs to give a little more clearance to the loom and added a grommet too. I've removed it now as it was more hassle than it was worth with bonnet clearance.
I used to put a bin liner on the engine before washing.
Keeps the motor nice and dry.
Get yourself a Pela pump, realy handy for sucking up oil/water/fuel etc. The thin pipe is perfect for getting around the plugs in the head, and sucking out water.
Good for emptying your dry sump tank too.

had another look yesterday and my cam cover only has a bolt hole at the front there is no hole at the rear, wondering if there is something different on my car as it looks as though the height of the cam sensor alone would stop this fitting ?? do all duratecs have the cam sensor on the top ? will take a picture of mine today.
