15th 16th 17th I'll be skiving off work, and scrambling over rocks for vantage points to watch the anual highlight of my year, in this motorsport vacum of a rock.
Finaly, this year there's a Caterham entered. coolsmile
Ironically number 7 !

That looks like fun smile

I'm wondering about the sanity of entrant 48 though!

Mick, was in Cala san Vicente a few years ago and their was a collecton of classics in the lobby of a hotel or flats on the road in. Is it still there - what's the story?

Yes the Treker brings back memories of my yoof smile I was a VW nut back in those days, and I built a SWB buggy in a council lock up. Can you imagine cutting up a perfectly good 67 bug these days!
I actually used some hub reduction axles, as fitted to the Treker (From an early type 2 camper) Great big cast iron gear cases for the hub reduction gears, and swing axle too! I had to turn the diff around in the Type 1 transaxle so as not to have 4 reverse, and one forward gear.
Made for interesting handling with the back end jacking up on the power, due to the backward rotation of the halfshafts...
I'd never heard of unsprung weight in those days. biggrin

The car collection in Cala san Vicente belonged to the Guy who owned the hotel, it was intact untill last year, but I recently heard the Old boy is in his 80's now, and has gone slightly Ga Ga, and the cars where being sold off. Haven't been there recently, I'll have to make a detour when I next pass, and see if there's anything still there.
