Yesterday evening I was able to convince the misses to redo our honeymoon tour we did 25 years ago in a "normal"car.
Little detail, I suggested to do it in the Caterham first week of June.
The travel will go down via German Autobahn and france to Monaco and back through the french alps and Swiss to the northern part of Holland.

Big Question, will the Misses make my life horrible after the trip??
Any experience or thoughts on this?

Get the missus to fly down and meet you there, and you do the 5000rpm cruise down there?

Earplugs! Noted.

And with my car HPC, 16" wheels, 4,1 diff and high torque injection 2.0XE, 5000rpm is over 100mph, I will be fine.

I made the misses believe it's all about the trip, not the stay.
I saved the best parts for the trip back home. (french alps etc.)

The longest stretches I will do are about 400km. The first day of the travel is 800km, but mainly german Autobahn.
I uprated the Hotels I chose, and the nice restaurants to go out and dine. Keep my fingers crossed.

How about investing in an Autocom unit with headphones to damp out the noise and a microphone so you can talk. Also opens up the option of having music on too. Might be a bit more appealing for your good lady?

We're married for 25 years! Maybe earplugs are better. Still have a Peltor lying somewhere around
