Apologies if this has been done before - I did search, both here and on BC.

Is there a standard bulb upgrade that can be made to the 7" chrome headlamps? Unsurprisingly, the existing ones are pretty feeble!

I'm not totally averse to replacing the whole assembly, but would rather not, for cost and aesthetic reasons as I don't drive at night if I can help it, but I'd like to see if I have to!

They are H4 bulbs. Easy to replace with a bit more power.
I have fitted these here

I've got the Philips bulbs too. You can get 100% brighter now as well.

I put some Halfords Ultra Brilliance ones in mine yesterday and they are obviously much better than the standard bulbs. I've seen a couple of mentions of them not lasting that long (due to the vibration damaging the filament) so we'll see. They were, and are apparently often so, on BOGOF so I thought they were worth a punt.

Phillips Clear Blue whites we've used them for years as we tour and Rallye at night. Fantastic reliability as well.

Thanks guys. That's good to know and will certainly help easy SWMBOs concerns for the tiny car!
