Any K series experts in the South?
Discussion
Sorry for vague title.
I am looking for somebody who may be able to help me identify why my engine is failing.
I have a VHPD K series with a 1.9 block.
The engine is fitted into a Rochdale Olympic - inline/RWD etc.
The engine has suffered one bottom end failure on the rollers.
The engine then got rebuilt by Dave Andrews - so no concerns there. We also fitted an Apollo tank to help prevent any issues with potential oil starvation.
The issue is, the engine seems to be suffering again, and is going to be stripped down for investigation.
This is the current noise from below the sump, engine warm
Dave is going to take a look at the engine, but I think the problem is not the engine itself, but the installation.
The car is currently down in Fareham.
A bit of a wild shot but I thought I may as well ask - Is there anybody who knows the K well enough in a RWD set up take a look at the installation to see if any issues can be spotted?
I am happy to pay for someone's time.
Without confidence that I know why we have the issue, I am reluctant to fit the engine again.
There is something wrong somewhere and this is costing me a fortune.....
Many thanks
