metric / imperial front arb difference??
Discussion
is there any differences between front arb's for metric and imperial
i have found an 18mm arb for sale, which has been removed from imperial car.
will it fit my metric chassis
im also unsure as to what arb was fitted as std to a 2007 metric roadsport as the arb was removed when i got the car? any idea?
thanks

There should be no problem fitting an ARB from an imperial car to a metric one. I fitted a Freestyle bar to my Sigma academy car and the only advice I was given was to change the fixing bolts (but not the blocks themselves) and it fitted fine. i have found an 18mm arb for sale, which has been removed from imperial car.

In my experience an orange roll bar is the one for road use. An 18mm will probably cause a lot of understeer unless you have a rear ARB fitted.thanks

Edit. Just read your previous post and note that you have a rear ARB. Orange Arb is probably still the right one IMO. The 18mm will probably be a bit stiff but ARB's are relatively cheap so its worth having a couple to experiment with. Particularly if you are planning to do trackdays.
