Thinking of buying a Caterham
Discussion
Hello guys, new forum member over here.
I really like the caterham concept and I'm thinking of buying and building one myself.
I'm from Portugal and to make it cheaper I would be going to UK test drive a caterham and if get to an agreement with a dealer order a 1.6K roadster.
I think I can only buy the roadster cause is the only one that has a COC ( certified homuologation) outside the UK. This way I think I don't need to go with IVA tests and all that stuff.
As I would be bringing it to Portugal I would not be able to make it the post buid test. Is it really needed?
I would like to know I everything I said it this post is true and will be able to buy a caterham, build and register in my country.
Sorry about my bad English.
Thanks

Miguel,
I am sure Caterham have plenty of experience with exporting their cars to Portugal. I was watching the racing at Spa Francorchamps 2 years ago and was very impressed to see 3 Caterham Graduate racers turn up for fresh tyres, as I was, and then go and race. All three were on Portuguese number plates.
Good luck with your visit.
I am sure your will enjoy the test drive!
