Try your local Caterham dealer (if you have one near you). My local dealer up here in the Midlands does daily or weekend hire and I believe they all do.

That's right, but bear in mind there are only two Caterham dealers in the country - South and Midlands.

Does anyone know of the possibility of hiring a CSR260?

I've never heard of anyone hiring any of the faster Caterhams for road use - they're just too easy to crash in inexperienced hands. I'd be interested if anyone does though. Bookatrack hire an R300 for their track days; that's all I've heard of. Your best bet if you want to sample a CSR would again be on track - perhaps an arrive and drive test day, but of course for that you'd need a race license and probably some experience to convince a team to let you out in the car.

You might be surprised at how affordable it is; I presume they subsidise it from their sales. Partly it's their form of an extended test drive, and they will even deduct the hire cost from the purchase price of a 7.

Sorry, that's not what I meant. I was just trying to explain why the hire is quite affordable. Anyone can hire one smile

Give us a shout if you fancy a weekend in Yorkshire or better still, midweek when it's quieter. We have no sales deal with Caterham smile wish we did as so many people get bitten by the bug. We'll never get rich on the business but it's great fun and we get smashing people. The comment about the pace of cars is right. For everyone who turns up in an Aston, 911 or M car, we have many customers who haven't driven a rear wheel drive car in 10 years. 0-60 in 5.2 is fast enough for most, especially 3" off the ground;). You'll love it. Kind regards, Scott.
