Had a W**tfield 5 years ago, SeiW 1800 Zetec, loved it but I get board easily so got a 400bhp Ford Focus WRC replica then a Vauxhall VX220 N/A which I am selling tomorrow. So, either another W**tfield (185+ bhp 'comfy' track car) or i have been tempted by a few Caterhams including this one:

It looks like a very good conditioned car with a lot of nice extras however, will it feel a bit underpowered? What would a cross flow like this be pushing out?...145bhp'ish? Are the crossflow cars any good?

Will I be wanting more power after the VX?

135 Bhp. It should be great fun and it will sound glorious. I have the same but must put the sump back on today and get back on the road!

Ummmm, might go and have a look!

By the way I know Tervuren pretty well, have walked around the lakes in front of the old palace/African museum a few times and drunk a Leffe brune and fed the carp from the cafe balcony! drink

135bhp...ish. Roger King used to joke that it takes a bit of work to get back up to the quoted power. Not far off though, particularly if dry sumped ?

Would imagine similar performance to a N/A VX. The crossflow does sound glorious in full cry. Looks a nice car.

I used to own a w*******d many years ago with a all steel 1760, a8 cam, 48's it was f in quick, now own a caterham with 1600 vx lump no where near as fast but still loads of fun. The real thing vs a copy is wort 50 hp. And when you get bored you'll get best part if not all your money back,

LB, I know this 7 very well, it is a peach and I'm very surprised it hasn't been snapped up already. If I was in the market for a 7, then this would be it, well worth seeing and test driving, it sounds awesome and has some great extras and is only being sold to fund a restoration project. Let us know how you get on

The crossflow owner James is a mechanic who works on F1 cars for the Euroboss series including restoring old Racing cars... He regularly works on an Orange Arrows F1 car... He knows his stuff so you can imagine how well sorted this one will be..
