Hi Guys,

Just a quick call out to anyone else here who owns one of the new Limited Edition Caterhams, in the Team Lotus Colours?

As you know I have an R500 in the Team Lotus Colours, but I am keen to here from anyone else out there who has a new car in the Team Lotus Colour Scheme.

When I visited the factory to see y car in build, there were at least three other cars in the Team Lotus Colours, I think they were a Superlight, a CSR and one other unknown model.

The reason I am asking is Caterham are telling me that they were limiting the production run to 25 Cars, but they have produced a lot less than they though, and due to the upcoming changes at the Team Lotus F1 Team, they will not produce any more.

I believe that the majority of cars produced in the Colour Scheme were for export.

Would just love to hear from others who also have a new car in the colour scheme.

Thanks,

Nigel.

Not sure what point you are trying to make??

All I asked was a simple request for other Team Lotus Owners

If you have an issue with me asking such a simple question on an owners forum, then perhaps the root cause of your response actually resides with you personally?

A bit harsh on Nigel I think to be fair! I thought they only made about 5 of those Lotus Specials?

Thanks Rob,

I was only asking for other owners of Team Lotus editions to ask them if they wanted to join me when I booked to go on the Factory Tour, which is a personalized tour for Team Lotus owners, which I was told is different from the other tours you can book via the Team Lotus website.

I also feel it would be better to wait for the tour in the new year, when they have moved from the old facility in Norfolk to the new one in Northants, which should be ready in the New Year for the start of the new 2012 F1 Season

I was also ken to know how many others were in the UK, so I could understand the Signed Dashboard Plaque numbers, as I was also told I could choose the number when the numbers were released for the Plaques.

Apparently they were sent with the Team to India for this last weekends Indian Grand Prix, so that Jarno and Heiki could sign them individually.

So I would still like to hear from any of the other Team Lotus Owners.

Cheers,

Nige.

Thanks, I did notice that one, but did not see a reply.

I was going to ping James who is based in the Channel Isles, and who had an R500 at the same time I had my previous white R500, to see if he knew who it was.

Cheers,

Nige.

Isn't someone racing one? I'm sure I've seen a picture of a team lotus liveried race car.
Found it! Guy Martin's R300, pw32's post on page 40 of the "Not enough pictures" thread.

Mick,

Yes it was being used by Guy Martin, but sadly was taken out on the first corner on the second race.

It looks a sorry state in the pictures, but sadly its even worse when you see it in the metal.

I was at cc mids last week and got to see it up close, it needs a long front apparently, so will be out of action for some time.

Along with some other Caterhsms that were totaled at the recent grads races etc, the workshop at cc mids looks like a grave yard right now!

The Caterham race liveried one is the ex sharrock (james.s) car that is indeed in need of a long front. There is also a guy called Ben Gower racing one in supersports. My brother is a photographer for Caterham so there should be tonnes of photos on www.rick-wilson.net of both Guy R300 Silverstone only and Gower (Supersports)

Found it!

Gower.

The remains of Guy going off can be found off the link in my profile page, can't remember if I linked that one in.

Saw it yesterday, didn't look that bad, shouldn't take long before it is sorted, long fronts can normally be done in a couple of weeks.......istr

Changed my mind ont he paint though....looks better in the pics than it does in the flesh. Fluro again next season me thinks. How about you PW?
