Nice pics thumbup

Mike and I enjoyed our run out. Our thanks to Nige for arranging the meet-up, and to John for a great route and a nicely paced run over.

My fave pic of the day was of two back-seat drivers in a Limited Edition Team Lotus Caterham R500:

He's "seated" on the left; must be a foreigner smile

Great vid. What's the device flashing away on the left of the transmission tunnel?

Jon,

Your welcome, it was a great day out in the Sun!

As you say John R, of the three J's picked a great route, as we discussed should I become an honorary John, if so what type of J should I be?

Your pic is great too, what do you think they were actually doing ?

Sadly (well, not sadly at all as it happens) I was "entertaining" on Saturday night/Sunday morning, so had to pull out (as it were). Shame as Silverstone is only up the road from me.

Baz, no probs if you were having real fun "entertaining on a Sunday morning " you were probably having greater fun than we were, so good for you, I am sure there will be another time for sad Caterham 7 Owners to meet up!!

Cheers,

Nige.

My vid was badly affected by the low sun.

A short clip - including my "backup trousers required" moment just after I had over taken the tractor and was seeking to catch up with the two first cars - is on YouTube. When that Mondeo pulled out it looked a lot closer from the driving seat. I think he had those two bikes up his chuff a second or two later; not his morning!

Nice photos, so how does the 6 speed manual feel compared to the sequential Nigel, does it feel any slower or different at all. It looks a handful in second when you give it some welly....

Jon,

It looks good to me, my on board video suffered the same, not much you can do about low Sun at this time of year.

Yep the Twunt in the Mondeo was acting strange when I went past him so he was bound to spook someone!! I noticed him pull out after I went past and wondered, " why would you do that???" Glad he missed you and Mike though!!

A good morning out though, and I hope your car did not misfire too much on the way home!!

Cheers,

Nige.

Thanks, having had a R400 K Series before, I can say that it is as good as my previous 6 Speed, I do miss the fun changes of the Quaife Sequential but not the clanking and whining, although that is due in some part to the new super quiet BMW Diff Unit.

In short its great, and I find I am using the car more and more just for the hell of it, I even went shopping in my R500 tonight, just to my local Tescos, and just because I could, the local boys on their scooters thought it looked - " Ace and Cool " so I made someone's day any way!!

Ask yourself why that road's a 50mph limit at that point and you might have the answer.

Good pics and video Nige thumbup

Glad the route was to your satisfaction, think we did pretty well traffic wise smile

John I didn't realise you had video as well, feel I'm missing out here laugh

Nige and I had a good run back to Stratford where me met the queues and ended up being slowly cooked by the sun.

Here's to many more blats in the future.

Shame I'll miss the WAGs night this month, blooming work getting in the way of my social life rolleyes
