Overheating Feet in a duratec powered car
Discussion
The duratecs produced in the last few months have something resembling bacofoil wrapped around the bulkhead/ pedal box area which works to some extent in reducing heat soak. Easy enough to copy I'd imagine. There is less heat transmitted through the SV which is the only reason I bought one instead of an S3. Nothing to do with liking pies

I cant recall my previous Csr260 baking my feet i have to say! so do they wrap the engine bay side in this foil ? Its prob an easy job when the car is in bits! My Duratec SV kit arrived back in January with the insulating foil pre-fitted around driver & passenger footwells plus the transmission tunnel.
You can kinda see it here:

Now the good news is that CC delivered me another set of the heat insulation, as if they didn't know it had already been fitted... It's gathering dust in my garage, but you're welcome to it if you want to come and pick it up (Basingstoke).
Cheers
Mike
