Hi,
Had my R400 for a couple of months now, and done a few track days which have been a real blast. Have to say that using her on the road is much less of an appeal.
I'm off to Brands on the 1st Nov. Anyone else?
Anyway, I've got one eye on next year and really fancy doing something that is more of an "experience". Tracks days are great, but what else does the enthusiastic super light owner do?
Racing appeals, but seems quite a big step, and not ideal for my mint resprayed road car. Are there and accessible competitive events that you could recommend? Hill climbs, rallies, le mans, Alps ???
Thanks,

Sprint champs as above is a good shout (racing but not quite such a big jump to circuit racing)

Hi there
Sign up for membership of the Lotus 7 Club - I did Isle of Man earlier in the year with 40 other cars and the TT circuit was a blast - Not to mention the awesome people that both organised and attended the weekend...
Next year I'm planning on doing several events including Le Mans Classic...
I would recommend you join the club and attend your local meet - Loads of good advice there and plenty of things going on...
Hope that helps
Cheers

Hey - as the guys say, speed events are a great way into competitive motorsport without the expense that comes with circuit only cars, door to door racing etc.
I have just completed my first season in the Tunbridge Wells All Circuit Sprint champs - really fun because it just goes to Race circuits (Goodwood, Brands, Lydden, Snet etc)...
Google TWMC and all the details are there..
