Hi all,

I'm thinking I like the look of smaller headlights on Sevens and stumbled across this earlier:

Not keen on the indicator placement but the brackets for the headlights look rather neat - any idea where they're from?

What other options do you have when it comes to modernising the front end look?

The latest Sevens have a neat bracket which just attaches to the forward upper wishbone bolt. It brings the lights forward and lower.
I can't see them on the Caterham site, but there's a picture of my car with the new brackets fitted here:

The headlight cables pass through the tube and a gromit in the wishbone mount.
It is a neat installation, but a bit of a pain to fit.

These are the new brackets on my SV:

The wiring was definitely a bit fiddly, but it passed SVA and I think the new brackets make the car look more sleek....

Cheers

Will do but as I'm not back from working abroad until November all I'm doing at the moment is 'window shopping' and planning/gathering knowledge for when I get my first Seven. Very excited about it though!

Of course having lowered the headlights you notice that the cycle wings are a bit high too, and could look sleeker...

Ah, welcome to upgradeitis smile

Do any of the various mounting brackets utilise the existing mounting point through the nose cone; the Caterham one don't look like they do.

You can modify the existing brackets by simply cutting the mounting ring off the end, cutting back the bracket to where you want to place the light and reweld. Freestyle motorsport used to do them like this but make from alloy tube.

Bit of powder coating or paint and your away.

I plan to do this on mine once the IVA is done as it make it IMO alot neater.

I personally don't like the newer brackets as it makes the lights look like they are out on stalks, each to there own though.

Sevenspeed do some lower brackets in the traditional style. I am considering these myself.
