I need to have a crack at repacking my exhaust over the winter (K Series R300) as it registered 105 dbs at Castle Combe last week (used to be about 94db when I first got it)
Any instructions for a mechanical numpty?

I can see some nuts to undo with an allen key on the front end, but what do these release? It looks like everything else is riveted together (i.e.around the end edges). Does it all slid apart if I undo the allen key bolts?

Job done! One and a half hours all in, and the half hour was mainly searching for my metal polish to give it a good clean before putting it together again.
Worst bit was getting it off, but the camping mallet judiciously applied did the job.
Bit concerned to discover that only about a third of the packing was burnt off but it definetly sounds a lot more civilised now.
Was only made hard by the goggles, dust mask and gloves my wife insisted I wore!
