Guys,

Some of you asked for more pictures on my newly acquired R500.

Here are a few of the new style dash switches, which I have tried to show (poorly) both off and when illuminated too!!

I will take some more outside later if the sun continues to shine today!!

Nice touch having a little storage area in front of the gear stick.

You kinda need it though as that's where the keyless ignition fob has to sit to get the car started.

Exactly Steve, which is just what you can see sat in mine in the picture!!

I think you can also see one of the spare orange indicator bulbs from where I have just fitted the Clear Cycle Wing repeaters!!

Looks much better now, must get around to some more photos soon!!

Nige.

I got one of the new carbon effect tunnel bags for mine which has a mesh cover over the 'key' to stop it getting bounced out smile Nice bit of kit:

Looks good, is that one of the Soft Bits for Sevens items?

I have thought about one myself, also does it cut down the tunnel temp, mine seems even hotter than my last R500, despite the new CC fitted Heat Shield!!

Yes, they introduced them recently, I bought it when they went to GTKY7 a few months back. Doesn't make any difference to the tunnel temperature. You will still get a lot of heat soak as I found when I drove a couple of new S3s with aluminium heat shields. Less of a problem in mine as the SV has more space in the engine compartment allowing for better heat dissipation. That's the only reason I bought an SV, not because I drink beer and eat pies wink

Thanks for the feedback.

I still drink lots of beer and eat lost of pies too, still just manage to get in my S3 for now though!! angel

I think in the summer it will be time to get the primaries lagged to see if I can keep the tunnel temps down a bit!!

Ahh fair enough. Nice touch the keyless ignition. I looked into a retro fit, but nothing caught my eye.
