Ford use Ecoboost engines in current product rather than Duratec. Anyone know if similar plans are in place with Caterham?

The Ecoboost is being used in the SP300r, the one pictured looks like the Attreeboost engine.....which is only available to crazy people......

Mic, so if those pictures are indeed pictures of your recently completed car can we have some pictures on the Supercharger Install please?

I take it its the Rotrex Supercharger kit?

Thanks in advance.

Nige.

I see Mick, thanks for the information.

It looks to me like that inlet manifold/plenum with the "Caterham Supercharged" logo cast on to it looks very 'Production Standard' to me.

Are there any plans to supercharge the 1.6 Sigma? It would seem like good business sense to me, if it can be done. There must be tens - if not hundreds - of customers hankering after more power, having bought Roadsports, 1.6 Superlights and now a potentially pretty hardcore car in the new Supersport. It's been quite a few years since the introduction of this engine, and tuning it to deliver serious power reliably isn't really happening.

(Edited to correct typo)

So has the exhaust side of the engine been lifted up putting the whole engine at an angle making room for the charger under the alternator? Having said that, there is some large air ducting coming from a black intercooler/filter at the rear going under the TBs and airbox somewhere then coming out to the large intercooler at the front, which could mean the chargers under here, but where would the oil pump go and how would the high pressure reach the inlet side?. Anyway, a neat and interesting install and to an S3 chassis?, have you got the nose cone and bonnet on yet?

I would say that Mic has more than finished this vehicle by now, judging by these photographs !!

It also looks like it is fitted with a nice new Sequential Gearbox too!!

Looks great by the way Mic, but why did you go without an FIA Roll Bar?

Apologies for the thread resurrection but there appears to be some movement on this, perhaps?
