anyone with an R400 500 fancy a change?
Discussion
well after selling my last Caterham csr260 about a year ago as I thought I would get more use from a 4 seater convertible, which in actual fact Ive prob used it less!! I have to say im missing the buzz of owning a Caterham, when i sold mine i really thought i had finished with owning a 7 and never thought i would fancy another ! anyway I currently have a more civilized 55 plate 997 C2 Cabriolet that im looking to sell (just put up for sale this week can send a link if anyone wants a look) but I would px it into a Caterham , Dont think I would have another Csr and I really fancy either an R400 or 500 duratec or perhaps an earlier converted car as i previously owned a 300bhp 2.3 duratec S3 which was a hoot,so now that summer is over or what bit summer we had , does anyone else fancy a change?

Hi,
Just doing my Sunday night trawl oF Pistonheads and noticed your post.
I have a 2008 R400 superlight Duratec with 7500 miles on the clock in black which I may be interested in swapping for a C2 cab. What colour is it and what mileage is on the clock and what is the service history.
Cheers

Hi Jeff, I knew it wouldn't be long before you were back.
What a great car they are, I have had my R300d now for 7 months and done more miles than any of the Westys, including sprints and hill climbs.
The cars that used be for sale with Duratecs I believe are now sold as
they were also on Blatchat.
What about the black R400d on PH
Regards Jeremy

ive spoken to the guy with that one on saturday and left a message on his voice mail today just waiting on him calling me back! there is another just popped on Ph classified tonight which sounds like new with only 1,000 miles on it and waiting on pics from another guy that contacted me via this thread.
shame about the ones that were sale earlier in the year they looked bloody good value for money and would jump at something like that now.

I remember seeing earlier this year a couple of Caterhams advertised on here with big bhp Duratecs fitted, from memory one was yellow and another a really bright yellowy/green colour anyone know if they were sold? they were up for sale for quite a while ?
The yellow(ex k series) duratec engined one sold a few months back. I looked at it in March after a 6 hour drive south. The black one is a good buy. There is also a Red R400, looks like it may not be a genuine http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/3230567.htm, although a good price for the spec, year and mileage.
