After an amazing full day test drive in a classic 7, potential new owner looking at a Roadsport 150, Superlight or the new Supersport. Building the car specifications to more or less the same levels (BHP aside) the Supersport is between £3-4k cheaper and appears a no brainer.

However, with intended use of 85% road, 15% track and being new to Caterham driving/ownership I’m concerned the aggressive 'race' suspension set-up of the Supersport will be too much to live with. Any ideas what would be required and cost to return the suspension set-up to a more road-friendly Superlight spec?

Any general thoughts on the above 3 cars, Supersport seems to carry a lot of good options for the £££?

Is the supersport suspension harder or just more adjustable? Might be worth checking with CC? IMHO the Supersport looks like a bargain compared to the others!

Called Caterham today, it is indeed different race dampers only, specially set-up for the Supersport. Can easily be swapped back to more civilised dampers is required. Very close to ordering!!

Congratulations, I'm sure you'll be really pleased with it! On the plus side you can build it over the winter ready for the spring biggrin
