Air intake and exhaust for sigma 120 caterham
Discussion
Hi everybody
Two newbie questions. What is the best replacement for the ugly plastic air box in my sigma 120 engined caterham. Can I use one of those cone-shaped air intakes from Caterham?
Does caterham sell a better exhaust for the sigma 120 (i have the EU4 one with the exhaust exit at the back). I'd like a bit more performance and more noise ;-) If caterham doesn't sell anything that I can bolt on, what is the best source?
Thanks so much!

I see you're based in Portugal, I think it depends on your local laws as well as what works on the car.
I was talking to a German Caterham owner at Goodwood earlier this year and he was telling me that he really wants a side exit exhaust like my UK car, but it wouldn't be legal to drive it in Germany with one.
In theory, it should be possible to source a free flow air filter to fix straight to the throttle body, and a different exhaust. However, you would have to get an expert to remap the engine management to get any advantage from it.
I've seen the 120 sigma cars at the factory, and there are substantial differences from the UK cars. I believe you have a drive by wire throttle instead of cable, and the catalyst is in the engine bay rather outside the car, so a UK exhaust isn't going to match the hole in your body work.
Anyway I hope my thoughts may be of some use to you
